I purchased this table set from Ashley’s in Calgary. Approximately within 6-8 months I noticed little chips or cracks appear in different areas of the table top. I am a senior living alone so it’s very gently used .
I spoke to the store manager who advised me to contact Customer Care in a different city. I was asked to send pictures of the table and shortly thereafter the table was picked up and the top was refinished.
Initially I was pleased with the refinished result however within several months the chips reappeared in different areas throughout the table top and in areas that are not even being used.
Once again I contacted Customer Care and was confronted by a very rude male customer service representative. He basically told me that it was my tough luck that I’d didn’t purchase extra warranty. I replied that it is obviously a defective piece of furniture to begin with and should be replaced. Needless to say there was no satisfactory result with that phone call.
I also presented these pictures to two Ashley stores in Calgary which was another futile effort .
I am a very disappointed and dissatisfied customer.
